This post might be finding you in the dog days of summer, but bear with me: Just because it’s summer doesn’t mean that you should forget about jackets. I’m talking layers my guy, like an onion. The first step, ditch the wool and heavy fabrics from winter and exchange them for lightweight fabrics with breathability, like cotton and nylon. Also, keep an eye out for technical fabrics that are water-resistant and ready for summer storms to strike. For days when rain isn’t in the forecast, it never hurts to have a jacket handy for notoriously cool summer nights. We put together an assortment of our favorite jackets, ready for the summer and whatever it has in store.

Fear of God Fourth Collection Bombers: Lightweight bomber jackets with tons of versatility. It can be worn a variety of ways and features added volume in the chest and arms for better breathability and an oversized look. The silk lining gives the jacket the ultra-luxurious feel we’ve come to expect from Jerry Lorenzo.

Christopher Kane Reflective Bomber: This one is the perfect statement piece, ready for any day, no matter the weather. Ultra-lightweight technical water-resistant shell and a flash finish that is guaranteed to turn heads.

Raf Simons Hooded Parka: Raf parkas are some of the most coveted items in any rendition. This one features a light cotton twill with single-layer construction and is a perfect piece to throw on. Go ahead, nonchalantly rock the Raf.

Tim Coppens Mushroom Bomber: Coppens is relatively new to the scene, but he began his career designing activewear, so he knows about functionality and breathability. This bomber is no exception and it dons a dope Murakami-esque graphic on the back.

These jackets and more are available in store and online at RSVP Gallery. For more information or to place an order email please@rsvpgallery.com or cal (773) 770-6666.

As the first decade of his professional career draws to an end, Christopher Kane finds himself concurrently spearheading the contemporary British high fashion movement and seated atop a uniquely curated style identifiable as his own. Known for his masterful manipulation of graphics, the designer has, throughout his relatively short time in the profession, cast his creative gaze upon the molecular to the galactic and everything in between (from volcanos to mushroom clouds to gorillas and chimpanzees).

For Autumn Winter 2015, Kane continues his work as an enterprising explorer, taking us on a trip into the mathematical world of geometry. Kane revisits his familiar destination of three-dimensional prints, with the works of artist M.C. Escher serving as the symbolic compass. The motif of the season is clear, albeit somewhat misleading. It is about shapes, but also so much more than shapes in isolation. A closer look reveals that, this season, Kane focuses on the transition from order to chaos, specifically emphasizing the dynamic interactions between the shapes with each other, as much as he does their mathematical properties. One can imagine the pieces themselves as pin drops on a map of Kane’s graphical journey: from the initial soft crumble of the perfectly tessellating cubes to the shirt that caves in upon itself onto the final rubble that remains, there is a clear beginning, middle and end to the collection.

For our editorial, RSVP takes the same active approach to the collection as Kane, going on a journey of our own into the realm of geometry. This is our interpretation of Christopher Kane’s Autumn Winter 2015 collection.

Our latest addition to our roster of brands is London-based fashion house Christopher Kane. Christopher Kane has been heralded as one of the brightest new talents in the design world since his eponymous label’s debut in 2006. Kane’s menswear cult following is centered around his fresh take on fashion and his ability to reimagine materials and prints. For the Spring/Summer ’15 season Christopher Kane draws graphic prints inspiration from flip books, with the pages print scattered throughout key pieces. The abstract graphics are paired with strong colors, particularly neon yellow, deep blue, and vivid red contrasted against black.
