Yeezy Season 3 is a legendary placeholder in Kanye West history. When you think of the season, images of Young Thug sitting on the stage in the iconic yellow jacket immediately come to mind. Many of the masses first look at Lil Yachty came as he stood next to Thug, red braids gleaming in the center of Madison Square Garden in front of a sold out crowd. Season 3 is also where West debuted The Life of Pablo for those in attendance. After an ample amount of buzz following the debut of Yeezy Season 4, West is making strides at carving his name into the game.
Nearly nine months and ample anticipation later, we were able to get our hands on the collection, which continues to push the envelope with unique silhouettes, his signature earth tone palette, and incredible attention to detail. Throughout the collection, West stays faithful to his vices, with oversized offerings throughout and an athletic-inspired profile. Highlights from this season include the hoodies, which are some of the nicest we have been able to get our hands on in recent memory, as well as the destroyed sweater, and military boots.
As his seasons continue, prices have decreased steadily, making them collections more accessible, as West proclaimed when he initially announced his foray into fashion. Check out the photos above for a full look at Yeezy Season 3, which is available in store and online at RSVP Gallery. We got a chance to see the opening show in Indianapolis, and the show has transformed a bit since its opening night. West did away with many of the lengthy instrumental interludes, and the concert was much more succinct, as songs flowed from one to another seamlessly. The heart of the spectacle stayed true, as Kanye drifted from end to end of the stadium, his disciples moshed below him. West was vigorously focused and energetic, and commanded his hometown crowd with ease.
RSVP enlisted two of Chicago’s premiere photographers, ‘Swopes’ and ‘Trashhand’ to capture photos of the spectacle, while we took care of the video. Check out a gallery of their photos below and the video above for a full recap, and in case you missed it, we took on Gucci Mane at UIC.
The latest edition of Neon and Nonsense™ is packed with everything the RSVP Gallery team has been up to over the past month. We traveled to the opening night of Kanye West’s Saint Pablo Tour, North Coast Music Festival for some of our favorite performers, and New York Fashion Week to see the latest newest seasons. Per usual, Kanye failed to disappoint, as he unveiled his floating, Transformer-like stage with a constant mosh pit underneath. We caught some of our favorite acts at North Coast, including a surprise appearance from Chicago’s own Vic Mensa. At New York Fashion Week we were front row for Alexander Wang, where he unveiled his new collaboration with Adidas, as well as Yeezy Season 4, and Travi$ Scott’s pop-up at Bape New York.
Check out the full episode above for tons of rare footage and be on the lookout for our next episode. In case you missed it, the Neon and Nonsense™ took a trip to Lollapalooza and more in our last episode.
Kanye West showcased his Yeezy Season 4 in collaboration with Adidas collection yesterday to kick off New York Fashion Week. Many of West’s friends and cohorts trekked to Roosevelt Island to get a first look at this season’s offerings. Fashion heavyweights like Anna Wintour and Virgil Abloh were in attendance alongside celebrities including Spike Jonze, A$AP Ferg, Russell Westbrook, 2 Chainz, A-Trak, and the majority of the G.O.O.D. Music team.
The show began as spectators made their way up the stairs in the park to reveal a field of models in Yeezy bodysuits. Vanessa Beecroft provided ambient music, as models journeyed around the triangular catwalk that encapsulated the bodysuit-clad women. This season featured a bevy of sweaters, bottoms, outerwear, backpacks, and New Yeezy shoes in West’s signature muted earth tone color selection. The most talked about pieces from the day: The heels. Models struggled to walk the full length of the runway, as they experienced difficulties, such as broken heels. Despite the hiccups, West delivers another robust season, although fans are still awaiting Season 2 and 3 to hit shelves.
The RSVP Gallery team got an invitation to catch the exhibition firsthand yesterday. Check out the video above for the look at the full line and the gallery below for a detailed look into West and Adidas’ newest season. Make sure to stay tuned for more info on Yeezy releases.
The Neon and Nonsense team was everywhere from the legendary ‘Summer 6teen’ tour to the 25th anniversary of Lollapalooza in the past week. With no time to idle, we spent a day shooting with AlunaGeorge, an action-packed night with A-Trak, and were witness to Kanye’s surprise performance with Drake and Future. Check out the video episode above for a slew of gems from the past week and the photos below to get a full look into last week’s happenings. Be sure to stay tuned for more, and if in case you missed it, check out Episode 13 at Pitchfork Music Festival.
If you got a chance to look at our last episode of Neon and Nonsense, you got a few quick looks into our recent visit to Paris. The RSVP Gallery team stayed busy with stops at a bevy of pop-ups, showrooms, and runway shows. Creative Director Zach Coffman traveled with the crew and captured some dope photos from the trip.
The crew, which consisted of Easy Otabor, Lance Jackson, and Coffman, was in attendance at the famed VLONE pop-up at collette Paris with Virgil Abloh and friends and got a chance to get a first look at Kanye’s Paris Pablo shop, skipping the line the wrapped around the block. Showroom stops included: Haider Ackerman, Gosha Rubchinskiy, Enfants Riches Déprimés, Off-White, and Clot. The team also got front row access to a slew of shows like Off-White and Clot’s unique street presentation.
Stay tuned for more rare footage and be on the lookout for new arrivals in store and online at RSVP Gallery.
