Kanye West showcased his Yeezy Season 4 in collaboration with Adidas collection yesterday to kick off New York Fashion Week. Many of West’s friends and cohorts trekked to Roosevelt Island to get a first look at this season’s offerings. Fashion heavyweights like Anna Wintour and Virgil Abloh were in attendance alongside celebrities including Spike Jonze, A$AP Ferg, Russell Westbrook, 2 Chainz, A-Trak, and the majority of the G.O.O.D. Music team.
The show began as spectators made their way up the stairs in the park to reveal a field of models in Yeezy bodysuits. Vanessa Beecroft provided ambient music, as models journeyed around the triangular catwalk that encapsulated the bodysuit-clad women. This season featured a bevy of sweaters, bottoms, outerwear, backpacks, and New Yeezy shoes in West’s signature muted earth tone color selection. The most talked about pieces from the day: The heels. Models struggled to walk the full length of the runway, as they experienced difficulties, such as broken heels. Despite the hiccups, West delivers another robust season, although fans are still awaiting Season 2 and 3 to hit shelves.
