Kanye West showcased his Yeezy Season 4 in collaboration with Adidas collection yesterday to kick off New York Fashion Week. Many of West’s friends and cohorts trekked to Roosevelt Island to get a first look at this season’s offerings. Fashion heavyweights like Anna Wintour and Virgil Abloh were in attendance alongside celebrities including Spike Jonze, A$AP Ferg, Russell Westbrook, 2 Chainz, A-Trak, and the majority of the G.O.O.D. Music team.
The show began as spectators made their way up the stairs in the park to reveal a field of models in Yeezy bodysuits. Vanessa Beecroft provided ambient music, as models journeyed around the triangular catwalk that encapsulated the bodysuit-clad women. This season featured a bevy of sweaters, bottoms, outerwear, backpacks, and New Yeezy shoes in West’s signature muted earth tone color selection. The most talked about pieces from the day: The heels. Models struggled to walk the full length of the runway, as they experienced difficulties, such as broken heels. Despite the hiccups, West delivers another robust season, although fans are still awaiting Season 2 and 3 to hit shelves.
The RSVP Gallery team got an invitation to catch the exhibition firsthand yesterday. Check out the video above for the look at the full line and the gallery below for a detailed look into West and Adidas’ newest season. Make sure to stay tuned for more info on Yeezy releases.
Hot off the release of the Yeezy Season 2 ‘Military Crepe Boots,’ we get the next sneaker from the Kanye West and adidas partnership. The Grey/Gum Yeezy Boost 750. Baring the same silhouette as the beloved Triple Black pair, these come equipped with the signature midfoot strap and side zips. The feature that has been most talked about are the Glow-in-the-Dark soles, which were first seen on the Nike Air Yeezy. West brings these back with translucent glowing gum soles.
The Yeezy Boost 750 ‘Grey/Gum’ releases Saturday, June 11 worldwide.
In our last post, we took a look into the Yeezy Season 2 Zine and gave a little info on the highly anticipated Yeezy Military Crepe Boots. Here, we take a close-up look at the shoes with abounding detail. Kanye West stays true to the label’s signature earth tones with a monochromatic ‘Taupe’ colorway. Suede outer construction and leather lining give the shoe an ultra-luxurious feel, while the gum crepe outsole gives way to West’s knack for blending high fashion and streetwear. Unlike the women’s heels and boots from Season 2, the Military Crepe Boots were constructed in Spain and without help from adidas.
The shoes dropped at RSVP Gallery on Monday, June 6. They are available in-store only in men’s European sizes 40-47, whole sizes only, with limited availability. For more information, email [email protected] or call (773) 770-6666.
